What helps to make this book so successful is the strong, compelling characters combined with the intriguing and fast-moving story line. The character development was done very well, with the main characters clearly showing their strengths and skills, while secondary characters contribute to the story without being just “fillersâ€. There is great danger surrounding them if they are not successful in ruthlessly defeating the enemy this time. More than just their own fate is at stake now. Can they win?

This is the action packed, finale of the four book Dragon's Fate series. Man, I have to say I'm a little depressed. I know, I know. The story of my life. I really hated for this series to end, but like the saying all things must. This is just as exciting as the other installments in the series with the exception of a mind blowing ending. Man, Sean knows how to tell a story with a passion that shows on every page. He doesn't disappoint and brings his A game every time. His insight and imagination shows us the endless possibilities of magnificent proportion. His knack for bringing his characters to life as well as his scenes is just one of the many gifts he displays. I totally recommend this series to anyone who loves dragons and magic with all the action to keep you entertained for hours. Remarkable job Sean, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.I received an ARC for this story.
Good end for the series. A few little things were left unsettled, but the big issues were dealt with and there was a good sense of closure.Not sure if it's just me, or if there was more downtime in this book than in the others. It felt like it was mostly conversation and introspection. Also, the message about accepting oneself might have been laid on a little too thick towards the end. Still, the action was well done. Also, it was great to see Kaylee's former mentor in action.Though the series feels fairly complete, I think there is room for it to continue. If it ever does, I'll stick around to see what's going on with Kaylee and her friends.I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Kaylee and her friends are running from the Hunt and the slayers who are roaming the country and killing Dragon-Kin and their friends and family. Everyone other than her friends are blaming Kaylee because they have heard that she has the ancient power of the full Dragons called the Dragon Fusion but they don't understand that she is not able to control it until she has more training. Old friends and old enemies return to help and the enemies to kill her and her friends. A very good ending to an excellent series that is supposed to be for under 18 year olds but I am a long way over that she and I really enjoyed the series. Worth the time for any age.
I REALLY enjoy series, so I find myself again slightly depressed by the end of one I have enjoyed immensely. What really makes reading this book more bittersweet is that the quality of the writing and of the story's progression continued at the same high level from the previous books in the series; which unfortunately is not typically the case. I highly recommend reading the entire series; ... as for me, I will be checking out the author's other books and hoping for another series to become as engrossed in as I did this one when I first discovered it.

I really like this cozy cat series and The Cats that Stole a Million had me reading quickly to see what would happen next. Ms Golden managed to pack a lot of action into the story, yet gave the reader to catch up with our favorite characters.It was especially nice to see Jake and Katz and their furry kids, I do love those cats. I also enjoyed watching bad boy Stevie move along the good guy trail, he is a very interesting character. I look forward to each new installment of this fun series.
Just finished The Cats That Stole a Million. I couldn't put it down. I've enjoyed every single book in this series. I love everything about it - the mysterious pink mansion, giving up secrets in each installment - the great cast of characters, with all their quirks - and especially every one of the cats. Karen Ann Golden weaves a wonderful story. I can't wait for the next book in this series.
I'm giving this book an 8. Would have been a 10, but was just a tad unbelievable.I love the series as a whole. Especially the antics of the cats and how sassy they can be. I once lived with 9 cats , sadly they have all gone to the Rainbow Bridge, most were rescues. I now have another rescue part Siamese who is a real porker. She is a brat when she wants something. Usually treats or her dinner!Her name is Sushi.Don't stop writing . You and Jake. And the kids are my absolute favorites. I have read all the books, can't wait for #8. Thank you for being our friend.Liz
Here again, Karen Anne Golden gives us another gift. This is a wonderful story filled with suspense and murder! It was difficult to put my Kindle to sleep at night when I read in bed with my 3 cats snuggled up to me. Katz (the main character) seems to unwittingly invite very scurrilous characters and in this case it is the Russian Mob who wreak havoc on everyone they come into contact with especially Katz and her cats. I was on pins and needles throughout. When it is difficult to put your Kindle in sleep mode you know you are hooked into reading chapter after chapter. I finished this book last night and found myself wishing that there were another of these Cozy Cat Mysteries ready for me to read. I guess I will just have to wait like everyone else. Karen Anne Golden treats her readers like Gold with every installment. This was number 7 in the series and I look forward to the next. Congratulations Karen. Well done!
This is the seventh in the series and tied for the most exciting one. Russian mobsters, a radically changed friend from school, stolen jewels, a snow storm, and all seven cats make this book interesting and hard to put away. This is not a deep nor complicated read -- read this for entertainment and relaxation. If I have to complain at all, I do wish the ending were a little tighter. It feels like Ms. Golden didn't really want to stop writing.
I once again enjoyed the book, I started with the first one & I am down to book # 8, the stories are well written I love The people & most of all I love the Cats. Karen Anne did a good job writing them & I don't care what others may say, But The story keep me interested & I finished 8 books in a month's time. All I can Say is Will there be another book soon?
I literally went through these books in a week! I enjoyed them so much! Such an enjoyable series! The heroine's relationship with her cats melted my heart! The writing is excellent, and the characters are loveable. The cats are such fun! Ms Golden's descriptive ability is great- I found myself picturing the house, the cats and the rooms! Love this series.

This book was extremely disappointing. Out of 101 stories there were only a handful written from a boy's perspective. This is clearly a book written for girls, but there is no indication of that on the cover or anywhere else in this book. If you have boys who might need support in middle school do not waste your money.
10 hour car trip with an 11 yr old & this was great! He enjoyed it and helped the trip seem not so long as well as read more during our stay. I am keeping the Preteen one back for his next birthday so can't write a review on it but hope it proves as engaging. I should mention tho that I didn't read it, but the 11 yr old was really into it.I think I will glance at the preteen one just so I know what I'm giving him. He loves Chicken Soup stuff tho.Yes, would recommend but glance thru when you get it to keep the kids safe now a days.
I bought this book for my 7th grade grand-daughter and she loves it. At first, she thought it was a book of recipes for different ways to make chicken soup. We all got a chuckle out of that. I will purchase more of these Chicken Soup books for her when she finishes reading the first two I bought her.I was happy to find them on Amazon, since I do a lot of shopping here.
My daughter liked the stories-However, some seemed beyond middle school audience.Esp. regarding boyfriends- there were also quite a few sad stories-I bought it to give my daughter a perspective from the voice of fellow middle school kids,and to be encouraging- some were not.
Had my 7th graders read this. Some loved it, some hated it, but that's teenagers for ya. I loved the variety of themes students could click with. Only wish it was middle schoolers who wrote this, not adults recalling their middle school days.
All the chicken soup books are wonderful and this one will introduce you middle school child to this series.
